The SVBONY SV187 1.25-inch variable camera adapter connects a compatible SLR or DSLR camera to a telescope for prime-focus or eyepiece-projection photography. Its sliding extension lets you vary the distance between the eyepiece and camera when using projection photography.
Two imaging arrangements
- Prime focus: use the detachable prime-focus section with a suitable camera-specific T-ring.
- Eyepiece projection: use the extension assembly with a compatible 1.25-inch eyepiece inside. The SV187 accommodates eyepiece bodies up to 46 mm in outside diameter.
- Adjustable extension: a graduated scale helps you return to a previous setting.
- Metal construction: black anodised aluminium with a protective pressure ring for the inserted eyepiece.
Compatibility and requirements
Fits a suitable 1.25-inch telescope eyepiece holder and uses an M42 × 0.75 camera-side connection. A camera-specific T-ring is required and is sold separately. Confirm your camera mount, eyepiece dimensions and telescope's available focus travel before ordering; a mechanical connection does not guarantee that every camera and telescope combination will reach focus.
