A hosted Seestar S50 Pro in Inner Mongolia, China. An observing session you access remotely. Here is what we are developing, and what you will know before booking.

The sky is local to the telescope
The instrument is in Inner Mongolia, China. Its weather, darkness, horizon and seasonal targets determine the session, even when you are connecting from somewhere else.
Your booking details will need to make the session timing clear. A clear evening at home does not establish the conditions at the telescope.

Frequently asked questions
What does remote telescope rental mean?
The telescope remains at its hosted location in Inner Mongolia. The planned service gives customers access during an agreed session through a supported remote workflow. It is not a telescope delivered to your home.
Do I need to own a telescope?
You would use the hosted Seestar S50 Pro, so owning a telescope is not a requirement. A compatible device, an internet connection and the appropriate account or app setup will be needed. We will publish the tested requirements and instructions before bookings open.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Beginners are welcome to register. Please tell us your experience level and whether you would need guidance. The type of introduction and support included with a session, and any separately offered tuition, are still to be confirmed.
What would an hourly or nightly rental include?
Both rental options are planned. We will confirm the start and finish times, setup allowance, access arrangements, included support and data access before accepting bookings. A nightly rental should not be assumed to mean 24 hours or guaranteed uninterrupted imaging.
What time would I use it from the UK?
The telescope follows night-time conditions in Inner Mongolia, which differ from UK observing hours. Available slots and their start and end times will be made clear in the relevant time zone before you book.
Which objects could I image?
Suitable targets depend on the season, their position above the local horizon, Moon conditions, weather and the telescope’s capabilities. We will provide confirmed guidance for the service before launch. Tell us your preferred targets when you register.
Can I download images or original capture files?
The capture and download workflow, available file formats, storage arrangements and any retention limits will be confirmed before bookings open. If original data or a particular format is important to you, include that in your enquiry.
What happens if weather or equipment interrupts a session?
Remote observing still depends on conditions, power, connectivity and working equipment. We will publish the arrangements for interrupted or unavailable sessions, including any rescheduling or refund terms, before taking payment.
Can a club, school or professional organisation take part?
Yes, you can register your organisation’s interest. Describe your audience, purpose, preferred timing and any technical or support requirements. Group demonstrations and specialist projects need a suitability discussion; registration does not confirm those arrangements.
What will it cost, and when will it launch?
Prices and the launch date are to be confirmed. Registration is free and does not reserve a session, create a booking or commit you to a purchase. We will contact registered people with the confirmed offer and availability.
