One controller for an imaging rig
StellaVita is designed to centralise the devices normally connected around a deep-sky imaging setup. Compatible equipment can include the main astronomy camera, guide camera, equatorial mount, electronic focuser and filter wheel, reducing the need to operate each part independently.

The current StellaVita App 2.0 workflow includes device control, target planning with a star map and field-of-view display, imaging plans, real-time preview, polar alignment and autoguiding. ToupTek states that the target database contains more than 10,000 celestial objects.
Open equipment compatibility
StellaVita is not restricted to ToupTek cameras. ToupTek's current compatibility information includes support for equipment from brands such as ZWO, QHYCCD, Player One, ATIK, Sky-Watcher, iOptron, Celestron, Astroasis and Gemini, with the exact level of support varying by device and connection method. Check current device compatibility before building a mixed-brand system.
DSLR and mirrorless support
StellaVita App 2.0 has expanded camera compatibility beyond dedicated astronomy cameras. ToupTek's current documentation states support for more than 60 DSLR and mirrorless camera models from Canon, Nikon and Sony, with connection and exposure-control requirements varying by camera.
Wireless and wired networking
Direct wireless control uses the StellaVita Wi-Fi connection, with ToupTek quoting a range of up to around 10 metres in suitable conditions. For installations where walls or greater distance make direct Wi-Fi unsuitable, StellaVita also provides Gigabit Ethernet and supports network-bridge configurations.
Powering your equipment
Four 12V DC outputs allow compatible rig components to be powered from the controller. ToupTek recommends a sufficiently rated 12V supply and specifies 12V 5A or above as a general recommendation; the total requirement depends on the equipment connected to StellaVita.
