Faster Filter Changes for Celestron Origin
The Celestron Origin Filter Drawer Kit is the same removable drawer design supplied with the Origin telescope, now available separately as a replacement or additional preloaded drawer. Keeping different filters in separate drawers allows the complete assembly to be exchanged quickly without repeatedly threading filters into the same holder in the dark.

Preload Filters Before the Imaging Session
An additional drawer can remain loaded with a preferred nebula, broadband or specialist imaging filter. Instead of unthreading a filter outdoors, remove one drawer and insert the other, helping Origin return to imaging more quickly and reducing unnecessary contact with optical surfaces.
Filters are sold separately. Filter suitability depends on the target, sky conditions and the filter manufacturer’s compatibility guidance for Origin’s fast f/2.2 RASA optical system.
Supports 1.25-Inch and 2-Inch Filters
The drawer accepts standard 2-inch filters directly. Its attached adapter allows compatible 1.25-inch filters to be used without purchasing another holder. Do not overtighten filters or the adapter, and always maintain the correct orientation before inserting the drawer into Origin.
Magnet Installation Is Required
The two supplied magnets must be installed before the replacement drawer is used. Confirm each magnet’s polarity against the magnets in Origin’s filter-drawer housing, mark its orientation and secure it in the drawer with a small amount of epoxy adhesive.
Epoxy glue is required but is not included. Celestron instructs users to allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before inserting the new drawer into the telescope.
Compatibility
Celestron specifies this drawer for both the Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory and the Celestron Origin Mark II Intelligent Home Observatory. It is not stated as compatible with other RASA optical tubes or third-party filter-drawer housings.
