Celestron SkyMaster 15x70 Porro Prism Binoculars — A popular 15×70 Porro binocular for astronomy and long-range viewing, combining large 70mm objectives with a 4.4° field and a supplied tripod adapter.

Large-Aperture Views at 15×
The 70mm objectives gather light for views of the Moon, star clusters, brighter nebulae and wide celestial regions. The 15× magnification also suits long-distance terrestrial observation, with 18mm eye relief for a more comfortable viewing position.

Optical Design and Focusing
BaK-4 prisms and multi-coated optics help preserve image brightness and contrast. Centre focusing and a right-eyepiece dioptre allow quick adjustment between targets and compensation for differences between the eyes.
The published field of view is 4.4°, equivalent to 77m at 1,000m. Close focus is 13m (43ft), so this model is intended primarily for medium- to long-distance subjects.

Tripod Use and Weather Protection
A binocular tripod adapter is included. Although short handheld sessions are possible, the 1.361kg weight and 15× magnification make a suitably rated tripod strongly recommended for stable astronomical viewing. The tripod itself is not included.
Weather protection: Water resistant. It is not nitrogen filled and should not be treated as fully waterproof.
