The Omegon Pro APO 104/650 is available with or without the 2" field flattener. Simply select your preferred Corrector option when ordering. For astrophotography with larger camera sensors, the field flattener option provides improved correction towards the edges of the image.

Premium Triplet ED Optics
At the heart of the Omegon Pro APO 104/650 is a sophisticated air-spaced triplet objective incorporating premium FPL-53 and FPL-51 ED glass. This optical design is engineered to minimise chromatic aberration and produce a highly colour-corrected image with excellent contrast and fine detail.
For astrophotographers, that means cleaner star colours, excellent definition and detailed deep-sky images. Visual observers also benefit from the unobstructed refractor design when exploring the Moon, planets, double stars and brighter deep-sky objects.
104mm Aperture with a Fast f/6.25 Focal Ratio
The combination of a 104mm aperture and 650mm focal length gives the Pro APO an f/6.25 focal ratio, making it an attractive platform for deep-sky astrophotography while retaining enough focal length for smaller astronomical targets.
Its 650mm focal length provides a useful balance between field of view and image scale, making the telescope suitable for imaging nebulae, galaxies, open clusters and many other deep-sky objects.
Large 2.9" Precision Focuser
A premium optical system deserves a focuser capable of supporting modern astrophotography equipment. The Pro APO 104/650 is equipped with a large 2.9" focuser designed to accommodate substantial imaging trains while maintaining smooth and accurate focusing.
The 1:10 fine-focus reduction provides precise control around critical focus. This is particularly useful when working with high-resolution astronomy cameras where even a very small focus adjustment can make a visible difference to image sharpness.
The focuser provides an adjustment range of approximately 95mm together with a generous 175mm back focus.
360° Rotation for Better Camera Framing
Finding the target is only part of creating a great astrophotograph. The orientation of the camera sensor can be equally important when framing large nebulae, galaxies and star fields.
The Pro APO's focuser can be rotated through 360°, allowing the camera orientation to be adjusted without having to reposition the entire telescope. This makes it considerably easier to achieve the composition you want.
Optional 2" Field Flattener
The Pro APO 104/650 can be ordered either without a corrector or with the 2" field flattener.
Field curvature can become increasingly noticeable towards the edges of an astrophotograph, particularly when larger camera sensors are used. A field flattener is designed to correct this curvature so stars remain better defined towards the edges and corners of the photographic field.
The flattener uses M48 connections, providing a larger clear aperture than a conventional M42/T2 connection, and its optical surfaces are multi-coated to minimise unwanted reflections.
If you require the field flattener, select “With 2" Field Flattener” from the Corrector options before adding the telescope to your basket.
Precision-Built Optical Tube
The optical system is housed in a precision-built tube designed for demanding astronomical use. Internal baffling helps suppress unwanted stray light and reflections, contributing to the high contrast expected from a premium apochromatic refractor.
A retractable dew shield helps protect the objective from stray light and dew while also reducing the telescope's overall length for transport and storage.

The combination of premium triplet ED optics, a relatively fast focal ratio, large precision focuser and optional field correction makes the Omegon Pro APO 104/650 particularly attractive for astrophotography.
