Omegon Pro APO 110/660 ED Carbon Apochromatic Refractor
A lightweight 110mm ED apochromatic refractor combining premium FPL-53 optics, a carbon-fibre optical tube and a high-capacity precision focuser for serious astrophotography and visual astronomy.
The Omegon Pro APO 110/660 ED Carbon gives astrophotographers considerably more aperture while retaining the portability that makes a refractor so appealing. Its 110mm objective gathers significantly more light than smaller imaging refractors, revealing finer detail while the relatively fast f/6 optical system is particularly attractive for deep-sky imaging.
Despite the increased aperture, the carbon-fibre construction keeps the OTA to approximately 4.8kg, making this an unusually capable telescope for its size.
110mm ED Apochromatic Optics
The 110/660 uses a two-element apochromatic objective combining premium Ohara FPL-53 and S-NBM51 glass. This carefully selected ED glass combination is designed to provide excellent colour correction, light transmission and contrast.
The result is crisp stellar imaging and finely resolved detail with greatly reduced chromatic aberration compared with conventional achromatic refractors.

Carbon-Fibre Optical Tube
The optical tube and retractable dew shield are manufactured from carbon fibre. Besides giving the telescope a premium finish, carbon fibre offers important practical benefits for astrophotography.
Its combination of low weight, high rigidity and minimal thermal expansion helps the telescope maintain focus as temperatures change during a long imaging session. This can be particularly valuable when collecting exposures over several hours.
The retractable carbon-fibre dew shield is internally lined to help control stray light and reflections.
Designed for Astrophotography
The combination of a 110mm aperture and 660mm focal length provides an excellent imaging scale for a wide range of deep-sky targets. Nebulae, galaxies and larger star clusters can all be approached with a telescope that remains substantially easier to transport and mount than many larger-aperture instruments.

Heavy-Duty 2.7-inch Crayford Focuser
The telescope is fitted with a substantial 2.7-inch Crayford-style focuser designed for demanding astrophotography configurations.
With the additional locking screw engaged, the focuser is designed to support imaging accessories weighing up to 10kg. This makes it suitable for substantial camera, filter-wheel and accessory combinations while helping maintain the chosen focus position as the telescope moves around the sky.
Fine focusing allows very small adjustments when achieving critical focus. The complete focuser assembly can also be rotated through 360°, allowing the camera orientation to be changed without disturbing focus.

Compact for a 110mm Refractor
The retractable dew shield helps keep the telescope compact for transport and storage. The OTA measures approximately 550mm when retracted and around 670mm fully extended.
At approximately 4.8kg, the carbon-fibre construction also makes the telescope considerably easier to handle than its aperture might suggest.
Aluminium Transport Case Included
A protective aluminium carrying case is included for storage and transportation. The fitted foam interior holds the optical tube securely and helps protect the telescope when travelling to observing or imaging locations.
The case measures approximately 71.5 × 22.5 × 22.5cm.
Mounting Note
Please note: this is an optical tube assembly and a prism/dovetail rail is not included. A suitable mounting rail must therefore be selected for your mount and installation.
The telescope is supplied with two 114mm tube rings, allowing an appropriate dovetail plate to be fitted for your chosen equatorial mount.
