Build colour images with your monochrome astronomy camera. The SVBONY F9170A is a set of four mounted 1.25-inch LRGB imaging filters: luminance/UV-IR cut, red, green and blue. It is designed for deep-sky and planetary photography using a suitable monochrome camera and compatible filter holder.
Four channels for LRGB imaging
Capture a separate image sequence through each filter, then align and combine your data in suitable processing software. The red, green and blue filters record the colour channels; the luminance/UV-IR-cut filter provides a separate luminance channel.
This approach gives you control over the time devoted to each channel. It also requires a setup and workflow for changing filters, focusing, capturing and processing the separate exposures.

Choose imaging filters for an imaging task
F9170A is the LRGB photography set. It is a different product from the SVBONY SV127 planetary colour-filter set, F9199A. Select this set when you need separate luminance and RGB channels for your imaging workflow.
LRGB filters are broadband imaging filters rather than dedicated narrowband light-pollution filters. They do not remove the need to consider sky brightness, exposure length and calibration.
Compatibility and requirements
- Format: mounted 1.25-inch astronomy filters.
- Camera: intended for monochrome imaging, rather than a one-shot-colour workflow.
- Holder: requires a compatible mounted-filter wheel, drawer or other holder, sold separately.
- Clearance: check your holder's supported filter-cell size and available space.
Camera sensor size and filter distance can affect vignetting. Check that a 1.25-inch filter is appropriate for your complete imaging train; the camera's connection size alone is not sufficient. Refocus as needed when changing filters rather than assuming all channels share the same focus position.
