The ZWO CAA M42 Adapter Plate gives the ZWO Camera Angle Adjuster a male M42 × 0.75 (T2) camera-side connection. It replaces the CAA's existing camera adapter plate, providing a direct way to connect a matching female T2 accessory or imaging train.
Choose this plate when the M54 or M48 camera-side connection on your CAA does not suit your equipment. Its replacement-plate design avoids having to build the thread conversion entirely from additional screw-on adapter rings.
A direct M42 connection for your CAA

Compatibility and spacing
This is an accessory for the ZWO CAA electronic camera rotator. It is not a universal tilt plate or a complete rotator.
Check the exact thread on the accessory you intend to attach: T2 uses a 0.75 mm pitch, so the diameter alone is not sufficient to establish a match. Confirm clearance around the camera or filter wheel and calculate the complete imaging-train spacing against your telescope or corrector's requirement. An M42 connection by itself does not guarantee the correct back focus.
Installation
- Support and remove the attached camera equipment before replacing the plate.
- Following ZWO's instructions, use the CAA's hex wrench to remove the existing M54 camera adapter.
- Fit the M42 adapter plate to the CAA, align the mounting holes and secure it with the CAA's fixing screws.
- Refit the compatible equipment and check that the assembly is secure and has clearance to rotate.
