Four-element optics
The optical design uses four lens elements arranged in two groups, with fully multi-coated optical surfaces. Anti-reflection coatings help reduce reflections and light loss through the lens system.
What magnification will I get?
Divide your telescope’s focal length by your eyepiece’s focal length, then multiply by 2. For example, a 1000 mm telescope with a 20 mm eyepiece gives 50× on its own, or approximately 100× with this 2× Barlow. This is a worked example; your own combination may give a different result.
Designed for your 1.25-inch setup
The 1.25-inch barrel fits a compatible eyepiece holder and accepts a 1.25-inch eyepiece. The knurled thumbscrew secures the eyepiece, while the faceted body provides a convenient grip when handling the accessory.
Remove the protective caps, seat and secure the Barlow in the compatible holder, then insert and secure your eyepiece. Refocus after fitting. Check that your focuser or diagonal provides sufficient clearance and focus travel.

Choosing the right power
Plan around the final magnification of your setup. More magnification does not automatically reveal more detail: telescope aperture, optical alignment, focus and atmospheric steadiness all matter. Start with a longer-focal-length eyepiece and assess the view before moving to higher power.
