Alignment is performed by positioning Polaris (or the relevant pole reference stars) within the illuminated reticle, then rotating until the stars match the reticle pattern. No time, date, or complex calculations are required—helping you set up quickly and spend more time imaging.

The PF-L II polar finder uses a three-star alignment system suitable for both northern and southern hemispheres. For the northern sky, the reticle supports alignment using Polaris, Delta UMi, and 51 Cep. For southern observers, it supports Chi Octantis, Tau Octantis, and Sigma Octantis.
Built-in red LED reticle illumination offers eight brightness levels to preserve night vision while keeping the reticle clearly visible. An automatic shut-off function helps conserve battery power during longer sessions.
