Reserve your Vaonis ATLAS with a £200 fully refundable preorder deposit. The £200 paid at checkout is a deposit towards your chosen telescope, not the full purchase price.
| Configuration | Full launch price including VAT | Deposit payable now | Remaining balance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single — one 80mm imaging module | £3,399 | £200 | £3,199 |
| Twin — two 80mm imaging modules | £4,649 | £200 | £4,449 |
Your deposit is deducted from the full price. The balance will be requested separately and must be paid before dispatch; this £200 checkout does not authorise an automatic balance payment. To cancel your reservation and request a full refund of the deposit, contact Dark Clear Skies.
Launch preorder pricing until 15 November 2026: £3,399 with one 80mm imaging module or £4,649 with two. Prices include VAT. First deliveries are expected in March 2027; this is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date.
The Vaonis ATLAS Modular Smart Telescope brings automated deep-sky imaging to an expandable platform. Choose Single for an integrated 80mm imaging system, or Twin to combine two matching modules on the same target. View your observations in the Gaia app, with no eyepiece required.
Single or Twin: choose your configuration
Single: one 80mm imaging module on the ATLAS mount. Add a second compatible module later without replacing the mount.
Twin: two 80mm modules capture the same object, with their images combined automatically. Vaonis specifies twice the light collection and approximately 41% higher signal-to-noise ratio for equal integration time. Its quoted f/3.2 equivalent describes combined imaging speed; each module remains an 80mm f/4.5 telescope. Twin retains the same field of view and cannot capture two independent targets simultaneously.
Matched optics and camera
Each module pairs an apochromatic quadruplet with a Sony IMX585 colour sensor. The 360mm focal length suits nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. CovalENS mosaic imaging expands the native frame for larger objects, while FITS and TIFF export support further processing.
Sky Guard and Gaia
Sky Guard adds a 185° all-sky camera to the mount. Gaia overlays a sky map on its live view, letting you select objects in context and watch your target build alongside the surrounding sky. Plan My Night prepares a target sequence; multi-night acquisition continues a project across sessions.
Sky Dock attaches compatible imaging modules without tools. Electronic levelling and automatic pointing simplify setup, while temperature and humidity sensing control the built-in dew heater.

- Transport bag
Accessories and compatibility
ATLAS uses its own accessory platform; Vespera accessories do not fit. The imaging module supports standard 1.25-inch filters. Filters and the equatorial table are optional accessories. Vaonis currently schedules the equatorial table for the second half of 2027.
Solar imaging requires the correct full-aperture solar filter fitted before pointing at the Sun. Do not assume a solar filter is included.

Frequently asked questions
What does the £200 payment cover?
It is a fully refundable deposit for the selected configuration. For reservations placed during the launch window ending 15 November 2026, the remaining balance is £3,199 for Single or £4,449 for Twin. No telescope is dispatched against the deposit alone.
Can I upgrade Single later?
Yes. A second compatible 80mm module converts Single to Twin. The supplier lists the standalone 80mm module at £2,099 including VAT from 16 January 2027; availability is expected from March 2027.
Does Twin double resolution?
No. Its benefit is more signal from the same target. Native resolution remains 8.3MP, with larger output available through mosaics.
What warranty does Vaonis advertise?
Vaonis specifies ten years for the mount and five years for imaging modules, subject to its applicable warranty terms.
