Complete the connection in your EQ6 pier-extension setup. The Dark Clear Skies AXISBASE EQ6 is a tripod pier extension adapter designed to connect a compatible pier extension to an EQ6 tripod. It is a practical component for assembling a new setup or replacing an existing matching adapter.
EQ6 adapter with supplied fixings
The black circular plate features a raised centre with an internally threaded bore, plus six outer mounting holes. Recesses on the raised-centre side provide space for the fixing heads, while the opposite face is flat.

Confirmed pier-extension compatibility
The AXISBASE EQ6 (COKEN-TA830) connects the following pier extensions to a Sky-Watcher EQ6 tripod:
- Dark Clear Skies ASCENT 200 Standard (COKEN-TA655).
- COKEN TA927, TA928, TA929, TA930, TA931, TA932, TA933 and TA934 pier extensions.
Using a ZWO mount: combine this adapter with one of the pier extensions listed above to support a ZWO AM3, AM3N, AM5, AM5N or AM7 on your EQ6 tripod. The pier extension provides the mount connection; this adapter connects the pier to the tripod.
Not compatible with the ZWO PE200 pier extension. The PE200 does not have the mounting interface required by this adapter.
