8mm - BST Explorer Starguider 60º ED Super Planetary Eyepiece

Two elements out of the 6 optical elements are made of ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass to provide excellent sharpness edge-to-edge, a low level of chromatic aberration, and very well-managed astigmatism, making this eyepiece a real competitor to much more expensive eyepieces.

These extremely sharp 60° eyepieces have a 16-20mm eye relief. The contrast is enormous; one can compare them with other planetary eyepieces such as orthos. At the same time, they give us a larger field of view and a more relaxed look for the money than a conventional Ortho.

This is the Rolls-Royce version of our range of eyepieces sold under "the Planetary."
