With automatic star tracking and a field rotation correction algorithm, DWARF II tracks stars as they move due to Earth's rotation. This feature allows for long exposure times to capture deep-sky objects, and the images are automatically stacked to create clear and detailed results.

The process involves automatic calibration, GOTO functionality, and tracking. DWARF II automatically shoots 3 images of the sky to calculate its current attitude, tilt, and orientation. It then uses the star atlas to confirm and point directly to the star to be observed. The star's trajectory in the star atlas has been solved in DWARF II, enabling automatic tracking.
