Whether you are an amateur astronomer, bird watcher, wildlife photographer, or a photography enthusiast, DWARF II is the ideal tool for capturing distant objects and celestial wonders. It allows you to take shots of deep sky objects, galaxies, as well as watch and record videos of birds and animals.
Connect your smartphone or tablet to DWARF 2 via Wi-Fi and control it wirelessly using the DWARFLAB App available on Android and iOS. Moreover, developers can take advantage of the provided API and documentation to run their own programs on DWARF II.
DWARF II features two cameras: a wide-angle camera and a telephoto camera. The wide-angle camera allows you to take normal pictures and preview the field of view. Once you locate your target in the wide-angle view, the telephoto camera aligns with it, always staying fixed near the centre of the wide-angle image.
With automatic star tracking and a field rotation correction algorithm, DWARF II tracks stars as they move due to Earth's rotation. This feature allows for long exposure times to capture deep-sky objects, and the images are automatically stacked to create clear and detailed results.
DWARF II's neural network processing unit (NPU) automatically recognizes and tracks your chosen subject, whether it's a bird or a ball player. The app enables one-click switching between the wide-angle and telephoto lenses for ease of use.
Weighing only 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs), DWARF II is highly portable and can be taken anywhere in its custom-padded bag or in a backpack.
The DWARF II has a special periscope structure to lower its centre of gravity and enhance stability, making it look different from other telescopes.
The process involves automatic calibration, GOTO functionality, and tracking. DWARF II automatically shoots 3 images of the sky to calculate its current attitude, tilt, and orientation. It then uses the star atlas to confirm and point directly to the star to be observed. The star's trajectory in the star atlas has been solved in DWARF II, enabling automatic tracking.
Based on the camera parameters, DWARF II is suitable for capturing DSOs (Deep Sky Objects) with angular sizes above 15 arc minutes and apparent magnitudes below 9, such as various nebulae and galaxies.
Yes, the DWARF II supports shooting in TIFF RAW format.
